Adverse Childhood Experiences: Small Steps, Big Change

Following on from our previous webinar, the next in this series on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) will move the conversation on to the skills needed for an interactional approach to ACEs.

About this event

Last year’s ACEs webinar [opens in new window] looked at the key components for ACEs, emphasising knowledge, awareness and behaviour.  We will further explore these issues but will also be discussing how we apply this.

In line with this, Public Health Wales and Bangor University published a report [PDF opens in new window] on how sources of resilience from individuals and communities may protect those who suffer ACEs from their damaging impacts on mental health.

Are you making the most of what you are currently doing? Find out what an ACE-informed / trauma-informed approach is all about and how you can apply this to your work. Assess what you are already doing against what is being discussed. There will be opportunity for reflection and to ask the panel questions that you are struggling with.
