  • Audit Wales has published its Annual Plan for 2023-24 which outlines its priorities for the next 12 months.

    A bit about us

On behalf of the people of Wales, we examine public spending and identify ways to improve public services.

    Our Plan

Our Annual Plan sets out our work programme for 2023-24 and also highlights several priority areas to support our audit work and the running of the business.

In times when public finances are under significant strain, the value of our work is more important than ever. Our audit programme will be focussed on four themes:

    • Tackling inequality
    • Responding to the climate and nature emergency
    • Services resilience and access
    • Well-managed public services
